Life is thought to have begun in the ocean, and it is here I always return, a silent summoning that lures me infinitely.

As a coastal child, the beach is an endless playground at the mercy of the elements, where storm fronts grumble, birds’ circle, mermaids visit and waves crash and lap upon the shore. It is here that children not only creatively play but also build a relationship with the natural world finding moments of awe and stillness.

Sea Dreaming was created after the birth of my first daughter as I returned to this childhood playground.
